5 Reasons to Keep Track of Ovulation

Pregnancy Facts

It’s normal for women to track their period but you never really hear about women tracking when they ovulate. Tracking ovulation can provide a lot of benefits and data about the woman’s body. Here are 5 reasons why you should probably track your ovulation.

Cycle Changes

Sometimes your cycle changes without you knowing it. When you track your ovulation it’s like tracking your period. You will be given a heads up if your cycle suddenly changes.

Accurate Period Predictions

If you have irregular periods then it can be very hard to determine when you get your next period. However, when you track your ovulation you will be able to accurately track your period. Once you have realized you are ovulating you can expect your period in another 12 to 14 days.

Identify Window of Opportunity for Pregnancy

Once you ovulate, you only have 12 to 24 hours to get pregnant. If you miss this window of opportunity you will need to wait until next month before you can have the chance to get pregnant again. Tracking your ovulation will save you so much time because it will tell you when to have sex so you can maximize pregnancy.

Determine When to Have Sex Without Pregnancy

Tracking your ovulation doesn’t only tell you when to have sex for optimal pregnancy but it also tells you when you can have sex for minimal pregnancy. When you know your ovulation date, you can plan ahead and have sex without a condom. Sperm only lives in the body for up to 5 days. If you want that condom free sex then you can have it 5 days before your ovulation. Just make sure your partner is STD free.

Early Discovery of Diseases & Infertility

Certain diseases and infertility will cause you not to ovulate. When you keep track of your ovulation cycle you can get some early indications of diseases & infertility. Early detection can help cure many diseases because the disease hasn’t been in your system for a long period of time.
